Karnataka Ration Card List 2023
The Karnataka government provides various categories of Ration Cards to distinguish among different segments of the society. This enables the government to distribute food supplies to those in need and prevent any misuse. The types of Ration Cards issued by the Karnataka Government are as follows:
Priority House Hold (PHH) Ration Card – These cards are provided to households in rural areas and enable them to purchase ration at subsidized rates. Cardholders are eligible to purchase rice at Rs. 3 per kilogram and wheat at Rs. 2 per kilogram.
Annapurna Yojana (AY) Ration Card – These cards are issued to elderly citizens who are 65 years of age or older and facing financial challenges. Cardholders under this scheme are entitled to receive 10 kilograms of ration on a monthly basis.
Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) Ration Cards – These cards are provided to families with an annual income of less than Rs. 15,000. The cardholders are eligible to purchase ration at subsidized rates compared to other cardholders, making it more affordable for them.
Non-Priority Household (NPHH) Ration Card – These cards are issued to families with a higher annual income. Holders of these cards are not eligible to purchase ration at subsidised prices.
