The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has announced that the portal will be accessible from May 29 to June 17, 2023. Offline admissions will not be conducted by any institutions as per the directive of AHSEC. The registration process for the academic year 2023-2024 will commence in the first week of August 2023.   • Students can view the selection list and waiting list for admission on the website (www.darpan.ahsec.in). Additionally, students will receive an SMS notification regarding their admission status.
  • When there are vacancies on the waiting list or changes in student acceptance of admission, the relevant institution must regularly update the selection list accordingly.
  • Institutions must utilize their Institution Login ID throughout the admission process, at the latest by June 17, 2023. This is crucial when a selected student accepts the admission offer from the institution. The “Confirm admission” option must be clicked to complete the admission process on the portal.
  • Only applicants who have accepted the admission offer will have their admission confirmed by the university. All institutions are advised to physically verify all the documents provided by students at the time of admission.

  • Even after the completion of the admissions process, modifications to a student’s stream and subjects can be accessed through the DARPAN portal. However, once students have submitted their registration in full, they are not allowed to change their subject(s) or stream.
  • The institution has the authority to remove students from the Selection List if they fail to accept the admission offer within the given period. Consequently, after removing applications from the selection list, the institution can add new students from the waiting list.
  • It is not permissible for institutions to admit students without their consent.
  • Enrolling students from other institutions through the institutions listed under the DARPAN portal is not permitted.
  • In the event of students uploading incorrect documents, the concerned institution will have the option to upload the necessary documents as provided by the students.
